Project Description

StudioMB collaborated with the Weissberg Foundation and the Washington Youth Garden at the National Arboretum to create this outdoor classroom as a gift to the kids in the National Capital region. The structure serves as a teaching tool illustrating how buildings work with the environment. With an inverted roof for rainwater capture, integrated rain cisterns, and natural materials, the structure sits lightly on the land and allows for a variety of teaching configurations.
