City Ventures, Irvine, this month is opening two all-solar, all-electric new-home communities in the Greater Los Angeles region.
Bridgewater, a collection of 46 townhomes in Gardena opened on Saturday, September 8. On Saturday, September 15, City Ventures will unveil 36 townhomes at Dahlia in Pico Rivera.
With advanced technology that powers the entire home to reduce electric bills and eliminate gas bills all together, both are first-of-its-kind sustainable communities in their respective cities and exceed national energy-efficiency standards. The homes at Bridgewater and Dahlia also promote healthy in-home living through advanced clean airflow systems and use of non-toxic materials.
The all-inclusive advanced technology at both neighborhoods includes high-performance GE appliances that require less power to operate; high-efficiency LED lighting; dual glaze Milgard® windows with ultra-violet coating; water wise Kohler® plumbing fixtures and advanced framing technology that uses less lumber to save trees. The homes also come standard with NEST® thermostats for climate control; radiant barrier roof sheathing; HVAC systems that are tested for optimal refrigerant charge and duct performance; and low to zero volatile organic compounds (VOC) in paints, stains and adhesives.
Bridgewater Gardena is located at 16958 S. Western Avenue in the heart of the South Bay. The modern three-story townhomes range from 1,520 to 1,870 square feet with up to four bedrooms and three and one-half baths. Prices begin in the high $500,000s.
“The homes of Bridgewater are smart, stylish and extremely attainable,” said City Ventures Chief Executive Officer, Mark Buckland. “This is a community that offers the lowest priced new-construction homes in the area, along with the lifestyle benefits that come with living in the South Bay and greater Los Angeles region. It’s close to employment centers, great restaurants and entertainment venues. Above all, our buyers will benefit tremendously from annual savings in energy costs while reducing their impact on the environment.”
Pico Rivera.
Dahlia Pico Rivera is located at 7650 Passons Road in Pico Rivera, just 11 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. These contemporary three-story townhomes range from 1,507 to 1,912 square feet with up to four bedrooms and four baths.
“Pico Rivera is a thriving, tight-knit community, so our mission at Dahlia was to design homes inspired by family living with a strong sense of social connectivity,” said Buckland. “Like many of our urban communities, those who choose to live at Dahlia will find it to be a very walkable and ‘bikeable’ setting, with easy access to the hundreds of acres of parks and recreational amenities that are a part of Pico Rivera. We believe from an architectural, energy-efficiency and price standpoint, Dahlia will appeal to a wide range of buyers.”
