CEO Pay Surges

Wall Street Journal staffer Kris Hudson taps into FPL Associates analysis of disclosed data that shows total compensation for chief executives at the largest U.S. home-building corporations jumped 37% last year as sales and construction picked up, but stockholders didn’t fare as well (paywall). Of course, the FPL data doesn’t include information on as many CEOs’ comp packages as we do in our analysis here.
