The Forest Stewardship Council–US (FSCUS) has issued a call for entries for its fifth annual Designing and Building With FSC Awards competition. The program recognizes excellence in the use of FSC-certified materials and honors designers and builders whose projects employ them, advancing the market for environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable forest management.
Awards will be given in two categories: residential and commercial/industrial. Applications are available at www.fscus.org/green_building/award.php, and all entries must be received on or before Oct. 1, 2009. Winners will be announced during the U.S. Green Building Council’s 2009 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, Nov. 11–13, 2009, in Phoenix.
