Week in Tech: New Renderings for Toronto’s Sidewalk Labs Project Released

ARCHITECT‘s Katharine Keane reports that Google affiliate Sidewalk Labs released new renderings of the firm’s Toronto Quayside smart-city project by Norewgian architecture firm Snøhetta and London-based Heatherwick Studio. The designs depict mixed-use structures constructed largely using mass-timber which, according to a blog post bySidewalk Labs CEO Dan Doctoroff, will be sourced from a tall-timber factory in Ontario built specifically to help complete the Quayside project.
