Dune Road Kitchen

Bridgehampton, N.Y.

This isn’t your typical beach house kitchen. Architect Frederick Stelle and interior designer Robert Stilin satisfied the client’s wish “for something darker and structured for the cooking area,” the architect says. Walnut cabinets give the space its warmth and formality, while Calacatta gold marble countertops provide a durable surface for all types of cooking and baking. An island provides an informal connection to the living room, and it also permits views to the water and allows light penetration to the space.
