Though insulation is primarily used for its thermal properties and how it can contribute to the energy efficiency performance of a building, it can also provide protection against moisture and fire, as well as help with sound absorption. However, traditionally, insulation products have not been manufactured with the most environmentally friendly materials in mind, containing pollutants such as formaldehyde.
