Toilet Attacks?

Wired magazine recently devoted a column to the discussion of Japanese versus U.S. toilets. It suggests that many Americans find the “smart” features of Japanese toilets, such as automatic lid lifters, heated seats, remote controls, and “gentle cleansing sprays” unnerving (at least at first). Toto, the company that makes most of these high-tech wonders, hopes to convince U.S. customers that American toilet hygiene is “archaic,” and misses the advantages of “cutting-edge hygiene.”
