Raceway Trim

By BUILDER Magazine Staff. No builder can predict every spot where homeowners might want low-voltage outlets. So if they decide they want extra speakers or security sensors, they’re stuck using long extension wires. A new product called Future Trim (www.wallpals.com) hopes to eliminate cord clutter. It consists of a base frame and a snap-on cover plate. When the plate is removed, you can access and route wiring through the channel in the frame. It’s designed to work with standard outlet covers and could be a good choice for home offices or other candidates for future wiring changes.
