Construction product information and building information management (BIM) software provider BuildSite recently launched Green Data, a portal that gives fast and easy access to information about green products that contribute to LEED credits and provides online templates for LEED product submittals.
Drawing on BuildSite’s database of 20,000-plus construction products, users can conduct LEED credit-specific materials searches or search by a specific green attribute (such as VOC content, recycled material content, or manufacturing location), by product category, or by manufacturer to identify relevant products, as well as find local distributors for each product. Users can also compare products based on LEED attributes. The system links to BIM models and project management software to ease the process of assembling document packages and managing submittals.
