Craftsman Book Co. has just released Construction Contract Writer, a software program that gives builders and other contractors an affordable and easy way to create custom-tailored construction contracts that meet the legal requirements of every state. The software guides users through the contract-writing process in a question-and-answer format that addresses a comprehensive list of contract topics. Along the way, an “explainer” tool describes the meaning and purpose of each contract clause in straightforward English.
Because contract law varies by state, Craftsman Book Co. will develop an edition of Construction Contract Writer for each state. Currently the California version is available for download; the Arizona, Alabama, Florida, New York, and Texas editions will follow soon thereafter.
