The National Association of Women in Construction is celebrating its annual Women in Construction Week the week ending Saturday, March 7, 2020.
According to NAWIC, Women in Construction Week marks an occasion to “advance [the NAWIC’s] mission to strengthen and amplify the success of women in the construction industry”, as well as an opportunity for members and local chapters to raise awareness of opportunities for women in the construction industry.
Local NAWIC chapters across the country will mark Women in Construction Week with a variety of community activities, including membership drives, jobsite tours, service projects, hands-on workshops, fundraisers and school projects. Each chapter will also to local, state and national representatives to issue proclamations for WIC Week.
The NAWIC serves 118 local chapters across the United States, plus affiliates in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
