June 2016 was a huge wake up call for me when it comes to PPE on my feet. My coworkers and I where offloading a 4,500-pound pump off of a lift-gated trailer. I decided to climb down the side because of the limited room on the lift gate. As I was climbing down, one of the operator’s decided to lower the gate and my foot got trapped. The steel toe boots saved my foot from being amputated. I limped away with a bruised foot and sprain. It should of been much worse. My Red Wing boots allowed me to work another day, which is important considering we are a single-income family. Thank you Red Wing boots.–Jesse Sandoval
