Sited at the base of Peak 8 in Breckenridge, Colorado, the Bear Run Residence is modern abode that embraces and reflects a mountain lifestyle. With close to 9,000 square feet of living space, six king bedroom suites, and two bunkrooms, the house accommodates a lot of people easily and beautifully.

To tie the home to its location, the design-build team—including architecture firm bhh Partners, builder Pinnacle Mountain Homes, and interior designer Collective Design Group—hung an old ski lift chair underneath the contemporary wood and metal stairway.
The chair was sourced from Arapahoe Basin, an alpine ski area in the Rocky Mountains. Several years ago, the resort decided to replace the chairs on its famous Pallavicini lift with updated versions. Instead of discarding them, the resort launched a community lottery for anyone who wished to purchase the old chairs. The Bear Run Residence owners won a chance to buy one, and now a fitting piece of Summit County history hangs in their entryway for guests to spot as soon as they walk through the front door.
