New Focus Constellation HomeBuilder Systems recently purchased business intelligence company Dimensional Basix (DBx). Dexter Salna, Constellation’s president, says the move was made to better serve New-Star users, since NewStar lacked enhanced management reporting tools. The DBx suite of business intelligence products will be rebranded as Constellation Focus. Salna says seven NewStar customers already use the software. And Constellation, which previously purchased FAST, NewStar, and Computers for Tracts, now has 600 clients and will hit $20 million in revenue this year, he notes.

Triple Dip Home builder software company Latista has introduced BuilderOne Enterprise Resource Planning. The system will consist of three modules: customer relationship management (CRM), the sales system; operations, which covers options, purchasing, and procurement; and financials, the back-office accounting system. CRM and operations started shipping late last year; the accounting package will ship in early spring. Visit www.latista.com.
