Empire Communities is moving into its second U.S. development — Woodforest in South Montgomery County.
The builder has a dozen home sites in the community’s Kingsley neighborhood, where it will offer three unique home plans. Empire is designing new floor plans for Woodforest ranging from 2,900 to 3,500 square feet and priced from the high $300,000s.
“The plans for the first phase of the Kingsley neighborhood will reflect the quality construction that has made Empire one of Canada’s leading homebuilders, and will be in a style that complements the wooded environment of Woodforest,” said James Miller, Division President of Empire’s Texas home builder division in a press release.
The move into Woodforest is in line with an aggressive building plan set for Empire in Texas.
“We are on target to solidly establish Empire in the Houston area, with plans to expand our Texas footprint into the Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth markets, as well,” Miller said in the release.
Empire launched its U.S. building program late last year in Dellrose, a 600-acre development in Cypress. The builder will have approximately 300 homes in the community, which is a project of Empire Land Continental, the U.S. development arm of Empire Communities.
Model home construction in Woodforest will begin in February, with pre-sales expected to start next month. Miller said he was drawn to the community because of its location with close proximity to shopping, employment and amenities and its breadth of available home designs that carry generational appeal.
