Fund Housing

The Bringing America Home Act introduced last summer by Rep. Julia Carson (D-Ind.) includes a provision to establish a National Housing Trust Fund that would provide communities with money to build, rehabilitate, and preserve 1.5 million homes over the next 10 years for low-income families. The legislation also includes provisions to provide job training, civil rights protections, vouchers for child care and public transportation, and emergency funds for families facing eviction. A full price tag has not yet been set for the omnibus bill.
