Beazer Homes USA has come a long way from its beleaguered past when it was listed as one of the most likely public home builders to go under. The company booked a profit in the first quarter of its fiscal year and it’s home sales, while still at relatively low levels, took a leap up. CEO Allan Merrill says the company is committed to continue to grow sales and maintain profitability throughout the year. Beazer Homes’ first fiscal year quarter ended Dec. 31.
Beazer’s fiscal year ends Sept. 30.
