Builders looking for an easier way to prewire an in-house security system can now opt to install the Cat5 Camera Monitoring Solution from Pittsburgh-based Greyfox Systems. The new camera system is installed in the structured wiring panel and runs over any Category-5 jack, alleviating the need to run coaxial cable for the cameras. The system includes the Cat5 camera module, cameras, modulators, and an Internet Protocol box. Greyfox has been shipping the product since the late spring. The Cat5 Camera costs around $130.
