The Aegis Clip can be used to accommodate both wood and metal systems.

MoistureShield introduced the Aegis Clip, designed for use on both wood or steel joist systems. The clips are made from glass-reinforced polypropylene for strength and durability performance, according to MoistureShield

Aegis Clips featured beveled edges and pre-inserted screws, with teeth that fit into the groove to help control lateral movement. The product is approved for metal, ACQ joists, and all other pressure-treated houses. Aegis Clips offer a 90-degree installation process for ease of board installation and replacement, with a tight fit for consistent 3/16-inch spacing between deck boards.

“We are continuously looking for solutions that help our MoistureShield deck builders get the most seamless installation possible,” says Matthew Bruce, vice president of sales for MoistureShield. “We recognize more pros are using metal deck frames, and Aegis Clips accommodate both wood and metal with strength and stability.”

MoistureShield Aegis Clips are available in 250-square-foot buckets that contain 450 fasteners and 50-square-foot buckets that contain 90 fasteners. Both buckets include a T15 Star Driver Bit for wood and metal frames. moistureshield.com
